Education Cost

Engineering Education Cost:
Tuition Fee, Hostel Fee & Incremental Expanses
There are over three thousand engineering colleges in India & over 90% are in private sector. While the cost of education is heavily subsidized in govt run colleges like IITs, NITs & other state run colleges, the Private sector College are run on self financing pattern. The tuition fee in private sector colleges affiliated to the state universities is fixed by the fee committee of the affiliating universities & varies from state to state. However the fee in Private sector universities & autonomous colleges is at their own will. So leaving aside the govt funded institutes, the cost of education in privately run engineering colleges varies between Rs. 5 lac in normal State university affiliated college to Rs. 16 lac in some autonomous colleges for a four year degree programme which is out of the reach of the common man. So if you decide to enter in one of the engineering colleges, you may have a look at the rough estimated cost of education at various places.
